1900s baby blue shaker cape

Rare early 20th century Shaker cape, with original box and provenance information. This particular piece was of The Dorothy Sakers from Canterbury New Hampshire. The shakers were a ground of American Christians, founded in the 18th century known for gender equality, making functional simple furniture and a particular type of shaking worship hence the name. Wool and satin.
