1870s beaded lace mantle cape

Rare 1870s high society beaded mantle cape. Jet beading throughout, front closures of hook and eyes down front. Black floral chemical lace. This piece is from the Rochester Historical Society Museum.

Condition 

Considering this is from the 1870s the condition is excellent. Lace is beautiful and there is very minor bead loss. We did removed the inner silk lining but it doesnt impact wearability and is not visible when worn.
