1890s silk + lace bodice and skirt

Item details 

extremely rare 1890s cream silk + ecru lace boned bodice + skirt set. Comes from a southern estate that was untouched since the 1920s packed away in a cedar chest. The blouse has wide accordion pleats on sleeves and neckline. The skirt has smocking and matching appliqués of crochet which matches the crochet on the blouse. This is a museum quality set for a real antique clothing wearer and collector.

please note : we had our seamstress spend many hours taking the blouse out to be able to fit a modern day size, it is still suitable for an XS size, but it was a lot smaller. We did not put it on the model as her back was too wide to fasten.
